Mixed Use Office and Retail Space A 40 story mixed use building on a corner in Times Square, New York had been bought and was undergoing a complete rehab. The lower levels were designated for retail and entertainment space, while the areas above the 5th floor assigned as office space. By routing utilities upward through the elevator shafts in the center core of the building, all the floors were affected. The electric panels, as well as the elevators themselves, were throwing off sizeable magnetic interference from the central part of each floor. In addition, the lower levels and basement were adversely affected by the New York Times Square Subway lines which ran along two sides of the building. The shielding design called for a layer of NETIC® sheets covered with CO-NETIC® sheets in the basement and lower 5 floors' exterior walls with an additional shield made up of CO-NETC® sheets in a single layer covering the exterior walls of the elevator shafts of all the floors. All the shields were then covered by wallboard to conceal their existence. New Office Space far Manufacturing
