Most electrical engineers have awareness, if not experience, in developing magnetic shielding for a myriad of electronic devices such as cell phones, computers, and other small devices where these low level magnetic frequencies can play havoc with performance. But the continually expanding use of electronics in our everyday environment has created the growing need for area shielding.

Computer monitors have been the proverbial "canaries in the coal mine" in commercial, municipal and industrial facilities. "Inexplicable" screen interference is often the vanguard for investigation into the issue of magnetic interference.
